In 2018 Moore Earthwork Services were pleased to be the preferred principle contractor on a large earthmoving project at New Lubbesthorpe involving the relocation of over 60,000 cubic metres of earth from one part of the housing site to create an earth bank.
As can be seen in the video, this involved the creation of a haul road and tipping platform to deal with the material during the winter months. We used our own Volvo excavators to load materials and our Cat D6T LGP dozers to reprofile the materials at the receiving site.
In 2021, we are working on a new phase of the New Lubbesthorpe project, and are planting 188,000 sq m of wildflower meadows and 39,000 trees, shrubs and bulbs across three new parks.
New parks and green space at New Lubbesthorpe
We are delighted to be working on the current project to create 46 acres of parkland. Alongside the parks and extensive planting, the scheme also includes footpaths, benches, picnic areas, cycling facilities, bat and bird boxes, creating a fantastic recreational space for everyone.
Completion is expected by the end of 2021.
